When the starting lever is pushed, the water rises inside the Shower/Eye Wash tube. When closed after use, all the water that is inside the tube at the time, is emptied by way of the inlet valve automatic drain. Consequently, as there is no water in the pipes, these do not freeze in cold temperatures.
